Keira Knightley Want You To See Her Boobs Without The Magic of Photoshop
Kim Kardashian “broke the Internet” (or at least tried) this month with her racy nude photos, but she isn’t the only celeb baring it all—and no, I’m not talking about Chelsea Handler either. Instead, the nudist I’m referring to is actually the modest, and extremely talented actress, Keira Knightley.
Keira Knightley certainly isn’t known for having large breasts, although she isn’t known for having swollen mosquito bites either. That’s because her photos are routinely photoshopped to show a more enhanced bust line. But Keira doesn’t like these alterations one bit, and she feels some images are worse than others.
For instance, Keira believes her bust was distastefully altered for King Arthur movie promotions back in 2004. It’s not that editors made her breasts huge, so that they majorly stand out or anything, but when the photoshopped image is compared with the untouched copy, there is a clear difference in breast size.
The reason Keira really hates this attempt at a digital ‘boob job’ is because she thinks they look very saggy. The humble 29-year old superstar said in an interview with Allure magazine, “Well, if you’re going to make me fantasy breasts, at least make perky breasts.”
Not that Keira wants to be altered in her photos to begin with. Clearly, Keira has the funds and resources to get any plastic surgery she wants. If she wanted larger breasts, she’d get a boob job. This natural beauty prefers her bust au naturel, and she wants her fans to know what her breasts really look like. That’s why she decided to pose nude for Interview Magazine a few months ago.
She was happy to show off her bare chest, but only if photographers and editors promised to leave her breasts as-is. Keira says, “OK, I’m fine doing the topless shot so long as you don’t make them any bigger or retouch. Because it does feel important to say it really doesn’t matter what shape you are… I think women’s bodies are a battleground and photography is partly to blame. Our society is so photographic now, it becomes more difficult to see all of those different varieties of shape.”
Women come in all different shapes and sizes, and it’s true that photoshop takes away from that. There are plenty of girls and women out there feeling insecure about having small breasts, or a lack of curves in general—especially with the trend for tiny waists and huge breasts and behinds at an all time high. Keira proves that it doesn’t take out of this world curves to be beautiful or earn notoriety and attention.
Above: Chanel addes a little something something to Keira’s bustling for a perfume campaign.
Although Keira makes so many good points, she may have one fact wrong; she told Allure, “I don’t mind exposing my t—s because they’re so small. People really aren’t that interested!” I bet a lot more men and women are interested than she thinks…
