Man Cuts Off His Nose In a Bizarre Attempt to Look Like A Comic Book Villian
Most people undergo plastic surgery to look more beautiful, but clearly not everyone. Henry Damon has undergone multiple risky surgeries to look more like Marvel’s Red Skull, or rather to look scarily less human.
Mr. Damon seems like a normal man from Caracas, Venezuela in many ways, despite the fact the 32-year-old literally wants to look like his favorite comic book super villain Red Skull.
Damon had multiple subdermal implants inserted throughout his forehead and that’s not all. Henry Damon took his obsession to a whole new level, having a huge chunk of his nose chopped off. Prior to the procedure Damon looked like any other man with nice, proportionate facial features. Now, it kind of looks like an accident caused something bad to happen to his face.
You can see Damon pictured above with a friend before undergoing any surgery.
Damon is married with children, but domestic duties didn’t get in the way of his dream to look like Red Skull. His idol character first appeared as the Nazi arch-enemy of Marvel hero Captain America. He was featured again in 2011 in the film Captain America: The First Avenger. Actor Hugo Weaving played the part, although he did not have any permanent or life-altering plastic surgery in order to do so.

It isn’t easy to find a surgeon willing to perform such drastic work, but Mr. Damon found the faith to trust med-school dropout Emilio Gonzalez. Despite never finishing school for the trade, Emilio Gonzalez performs extreme body surgery, as well as tattooing.
Pablo Hernandez, one of Damon’s close friends, says, “He has loved comic books since he was a kid and always dreamed of being Red Skull, but never got round to doing it.” After meeting Mr. Gonzalez he knew this was his chance.
At least his “surgeon” performed some psychological and physical tests before going through with the surgeries.
And according to Mr. Gonzalez, “Henry aka Red Skull is physically and intellectually healthy person. He’s an excellent son, husband and father, who has an extreme taste for body modification.” He goes on to explain that many of his patients see body modification as the final stage of body art, although many must wait years to finally make their dreams a reality.
Henry might already look enough like Red Skull to you and I, but he isn’t done. His surgeon explains the next steps of Henry’s transformation, “Next will be silicone implants on the cheekbones, chin and cheeks. Then we will tattoo his entire face red and then he will be Red Skull.”
Earlier this month, Mr. Damon showcased his shocking look at the annual Venezuela Tattoo International Expo in Caracas.
