Rapper Iggy Azalea performed with Rita Ora over the weekend and they rocked the Santa Monica pier in a free show sponsored by Pandora. Iggy performed in a crop top and a pair of skin tight pink pants that showcased her famous curves, but if you peel your eyes away from her donkey booty for a minute, you might notice that Iggy recently had more plastic surgery!
Iggy is currently sporting a whole new set of lips thanks to some recent filler injections. Her extra plump pout was slathered in matching pink lipstick and she happily pouted for the paparazzi, showing off her latest surgically altered body part.
If you ask us, the new lips are a bit over the top and unnecessary, but it seems like Iggy just can’t stay away from plastic surgery as she needlessly tries to perfect her look. At 24-years old, Iggy has already undergone several plastic surgeries in her quest for fame and fortune.
Iggy first went under the knife in 2011, when she got her big ol’ fake booty, but more recently she seems focused on changing her face. Iggy appears to have had a nose job in 2012 and now she’s work, work, work, work, working on those lips…
What do you think about Iggy’s plastic surgery transformation? Hopefully she quits while she is ahead and focuses more on her music. Trying to fit into the weird plastic surgery paradox that has become the entertainment industry, has ruined way too many pretty girls, before they are even out of their 20′s!
And no, Iggy’s butt is not real either. Check out the pictures we dug up of Iggy before butt augmentation!
Looks like Brazilians are getting a lot more plastic surgery than ever before. At the end of July, the O Estado de Sao Paulo newspaper reported 1.49 million cosmetic procedures preformed in 2013. That’s 40,000 more cosmetic surgeries than American doctors performed last year!
Just over two years ago, here at Famous Plastic we reported that America was the number one country for plastic surgery. Since 2012 a lot has changed, including where most of the world’s cosmetic surgeries take place.
The most popular procedures in Brazil are liposuction and silicon breast implants. Although facial surgeries including nose jobs are on the rise. In 2011, Brazilian plastic surgeons conducted 43,809 nose jobs, and in 2013 this number jumped all the way to 77,224! That’s nearly double the amount of people opting for a nose job in only 2 short years.
Before you start thinking that every Brazilian has had some form of plastic surgery, you can’t dismiss the fact that many people are traveling to Brazil in order to undergo plastic surgery. There are a number of different surgeons that offer “cosmetic vacations” including a ride to and from the airport, meals, an English-speaking assistant, and the associated plastic surgery fees all wrapped up into one low cost.
For instance, if you plan to have a face lift and stay in Brazil for 5 nights, you can look to pay around $3800. While this doesn’t include the flight and some additional expenses, it provides a very reasonable rate for a face-lift, considering in the US a face-lift can cost upwards of $10,000, easy.
People are jet setting off to Brazil to undergo everything from cosmetic surgery to dental work. Many remain skeptical over surgery tourism, but with careful research and planning it is possible to find a luxury surgery facility that does a great job for much less money than any reputable American doctor.
Alongside fake breasts and perfectly carved noses, another popular cosmetic surgery, that people go to Brazil for, is the Brazilian Butt Lift. There is definitely a stereotype about Brazilian women, that they all have perfectly round, and rather large, butts. Perhaps that sparks the desire for locals to get their butt done, and for tourists to travel here and get their own amazing Brazilian behind. The procedure includes lifting and re-shaping the booty, and taking fat from other areas, such as your arms or stomach, to inject into your butt.
Brazilian’s are all about the booty, there is even a Miss Bum Bum competition held annually, pictured below is a 2014 contestant.
Brazil is known for having some of the best plastic surgeons around the world, including Ivo Putanguy, who is called the “Father of Plastic Surgery” and is responsible for teaching over 600 surgeons from around the world his techniques. Today the pressure to be perfect is everywhere, on TV, on the Internet, and now on social media. One app is trying to help give people a more confident selfie, but not without a fair share of controversy.
Modiface is an app that allows you to enhance your selfies in a whole new way, and for free. The app includes a Beauty Mirror that allows you to filter out wrinkles, change the shape of your face, plump up your lips, or lift your eyebrows. Sort of like a practice run for what type of surgery you want.
Parham Aarabi, the CEO of the face-altering software says, “Our idea was to apply a subtle, realistic change to a person’s reflection so that when someone put it on Facebook no would know it was an altered video.” Sounds sort of like what every great plastic surgeon will do for you. And in a world where we spend more time online sharing Selfie photos than ever before, this could be the new way to keep up with appearances.
L’Oreal’s version of the app is called Makeup Genius, it allows users to upload a photo of themselves and then change the color of their hair, eye shadow, lipstick, or whatever, in order to help women discover new cosmetic products. Modiface takes it a step further with the Beauty Mirror; altering users’ faces in ways you’d need cosmetic surgery to achieve in real life. Which obviously causes some to argue if the app is really helpful for people in a world so obsessed with impossible perfection.
The creator of Modiface doesn’t see anything wrong with her face-morphing app. Mrs. Aarabi believes her app is useful in many instances. Including, people won’t have to put on makeup or get ready before snapping a photo, knowing they can use the app as their cosmetic touch up. But what about when you have to go out in the real world—is there an app for that?!
Not to mention, some of these look-obsessed apps are being considered inappropriate. One mobile game called “Plastic Surgery For Barbara” has actually been removed from both the Google Play and Apple App Store. This came after one Twitter user started a campaign against the app. This user was @EverydaySexism, and clearly as their Twitter name suggests, they found the app sexist. And after reading information about the app, you will see why, especially considering girls as young as 9 were regularly downloading it.
While Mattel claims no involvement with this now-removed app, “Plastic Surgery For Barbara” starts out with an overweight version of Barbie and the following description: “This unfortunate girl has so much extra weight that no diet can help her.”
Now come on, that’s just horrible! Plastic surgery can be a great thing, but healthy weight loss is always the best option. And for some, bigger is more beautiful. To each their own, in reality being true to yourself is the most beautiful gift you have—with or without cosmetic alterations.
She’s rich, gorgeous, seemingly sweet, and as if all that isn’t enough, now Morgan Stewart thinks it is time to get some plastic surgery. The news unraveled during a deleted scene of Rich Kids of Beverley Hills, when reality co-star, Roxy Sowlaty came over to help Morgan decorate her new-ish Bel Air home.
The conversation starts with decorating, as Morgan explains the placement of her work desk in the center of her living room as a “metaphor” to her very open life and blogging style. She then turns the conversation to the 3 self-portraits hung above her fireplace. While the portraits look great, no one is without self-doubt, not even one of the world’s favorite #RichKids.
Morgan admits to her girlfriend Roxy that she isn’t a huge fan of how her nose looks in these photos, despite the fact she decided to hang them up in one of her main living spaces—and before camera crews were scheduled to come over.
She says the images make her nose appear reminiscent of a rhinoceros. She may often be dramatic, but in that moment she shared that she was planning, “…definitely taking in the middle of my nose slightly.” And for any doubters out there, she passionately added, “No I really am.”
So what about the online feedback from fans about Morgan’s idea to have her nose reconstructed? Turns out that very few think it’s a good idea for Morgan to change her nose at all, many even commenting that she is the prettiest of the cast, so why would she want to change that with a potentially botched nose job? Not that someone with Morgan’s piggy bank is likely to get a bad nose job, but you never know, bad plastic surgery happens to good faces everyday.
Morgan Stewart scored her role on the reality TV show, The Rich Kids of Beverly Hills, because well, she’s a rich kid living in LA. Her father is an architect that travels all over the world doing big time projects worth tons money. Therefore scoring his daughter a very luxurious lifestyle, and her own reality star fame. Morgan’s net worth is estimated somewhere around 1 million dollars.
After going to school in New York to be a medical student, Morgan quickly realized that wasn’t the world for her. She admits failing every class she took, calling the whole thing a “$150,000 vacation.” Lucky for her, daddy wasn’t pissed enough to cut her off, and so her glamorous life continues. Maybe that’s because Morgan isn’t doing nothing, instead she does have a website which has just started to pick up traffic.
She still has a lot of work to do on her site, Boobs and Loubs, considering most of the sites linking in have little to do with fashion, and include Forbes and Business Insider, who you know aren’t citing Morgan’s fashion advice.
The site isn’t enough to pay any bills yet; the 25-year-old admits she still gets plenty of financial help from mommy and daddy. In her words, “I don’t have any of my own money…” We know who will be footing the bill if she gets that nose job. Hopefully daddy says no, just this once.
In our wild world of plastic surgery, people go under the knife to look better, feel more confident, and perhaps squeeze into that 2-piece bathing suit stuffed at the back of the closet. But sometimes surgery is far more necessary; in some cases surgery can save a life.
Meet Christina, one of the women featured on TLC’s reality show, My 600-lb Life. At the time of the show Christina was only 22-years old and she weighed 673 pounds. With her pretty, youthful face swollen, she admitted to camera crews, “I never thought I’d get this big.” At over 600 pounds leaving the house was next to impossible, she couldn’t drive a car, and she relied completely on her husband and mother for everything.
Consuming over 7,000 calories each day, Christina knew that if she continued to live life like this, she wouldn’t be around for much longer. Doctors warned her she had about 5 years left at her current pace. When given the opportunity to have gastric bypass surgery on TLC’s reality show, My 600 Pound Life, Christina jumped on board.
Gastric bypass includes tying off a section of the stomach so that the body can only handle eating normal portions of food. If a patient relapses and overeats, the stitches can rip, causing the surgery to be all for nothing. Just like with any other weight loss surgery, say for instance liposuction, going under the knife must be aided by hard work and dedication, otherwise the results won’t last.
This required a lot of dedication from both Christina and her family. Originally the clan lived in South Haven, Mississippi, but in order to have the surgery, everyone had to relocate to Texas for an entire year.
While at first Christina struggled to eat the low-calorie diet her doctor prescribed, her motivation to live a normal life pushed her to take control. She admits, “My family doesn’t realize how hard it is to watch them eat what I want.”
Her family has always been a large part of Christina’s weight problem, after all her mother and husband helped add each pound to her frame. Continually bringing her some of the unhealthiest foods, and in super size quantities. Feeding both her addiction and eventual death—if she hadn’t turned her life around.
Before Christina’s weight ballooned totally out of control she developed a lymphedema on her leg, this is a collection of fluid that causes swelling due to poor flow of the lymphatic system. Christina’s lymphedema swelled up so huge she lost most of her mobility, which only caused her to pack on more weight.
Not only did Dr. Nowzaradan perform gastric bypass, he also removed Christina’s lymphedema during a second surgery in order to increase her mobility and help further enhance her weight loss. In the future, Christina will need more surgery to remove excess skin, since after extreme weight loss stretched out skin can’t bounce back.
Not only did Christina need these surgeries to feel better about herself, but she also needed them to live. Without the surgeries performed by Dr. Nowzaradan, Christina might not have lived to see her 28th birthday. Thanks to the wonders of surgery, she gets a second chance at life!
Christina is incredibly motivated to keep up with her hard work and to continue shedding pounds. She looks forward to driving, running her own errands, attending nursing school, and simply living a normal, mobile life.Tags: My 600lb Life, reality shows, weight loss surgery
Jodie Foster looks amazing, then again what wealthy celebrity doesn’t? With all of the money to do as she pleases, it seems Jodie can go to any length to retain her youthful glow. Including plastic surgery.
At 52-years old, Jodie has a very plump and tight face, which hints to all types of cosmetic work—although nothing too extreme. For the most part the popular actress has a very natural look. Although experts admit she only looks to be around 40, thanks to whatever work she’s had done.
In proof that Jodie is a human, and not some non-ageing alien—she was spotted on July 2nd leaving a plastic surgeon office in Beverly Hills. While this seems a clear enough sign the star was getting her share of plumps and fillers, the more curious part of the equation is that she left the building with a bag held directly over her face.
The bag was thought up and created before Jodie ever left the office, you can see that the reusable bag was sliced down the center and made to perfectly fit over her face. Perhaps the doctor inside helped her craft the makeshift mask, which even included a small hole in the center so that Jodie could still see where she was going—and not run into any crazy paparazzi on her way to her chariot in waiting.
Jodie was solo as she hit up the cosmetic surgery clinic, without her wife Alexandra Hedison or her 2 sons Charles and Christopher—although neither of her sons could have driven her anyways, at only 15 and 14 years old.
The fact that she was driving herself home means her procedure must have been rather minor. Botox is a very likely possibility, as her face would appear puffy or even bruised, causing her to want to hide from the media. But, since Botox does not entail any anesthesia or medications, she could have instantly driven herself home afterwards.
Covering her face lends to more suspicion than if she had left with her face showing. Still, no one can guess just exactly what Jodie had done because the puffy regions of her face could not be identified.
Jodie Foster is no C list actress, this A-list celeb known for her incredible acting talents is a pro in the business—at both pretending to be other characters, and hiding from the hungry paparazzi.
Jodie Foster is by no means a plastic surgery addict, she has gracefully aged throughout the years, and while she might enlist some help from surgeons, she does let some of her wrinkles show.
It seems the type of work Jodie Foster underwent is anyone’s guess, what do you think she had done?Tags: actresses, over 40
Tulisa Constostavlos can finally breathe a sigh of relief now that she has been cleared of the serious drug charges that where brought against her…But, don’t expect her expression to change, thanks to the plastic surgery that she’s had done on her face!
After several denials, where Tulisa adamantly claimed that her new look was not the result of plastic surgery, the 26-year old singer has finally come clean and admitted to having lip and cheek augmentation procedures from a local plastic surgeon.
Although Tulisa formerly tried to pawn off her swollen lips, protruding cheekbones and waxen expression, on weight loss and different makeup techniques, she has just changed her tune and has confessed that her new look is indeed the result of plastic surgery…And she loves it!
In a new interview with The Mirror, Tulisa Constostavlos admits that plastic surgery is the real reason that her face looks so much different than before:
“Yes, I’ve had my lips done, and I’m happy with my lips. And I also had a tiny bit of filler in my cheeks. Pictures of me where my face was swelling. I had water retention – where you have filler your face draws up a load of water. So my face began to swell like a balloon…So losing a stone, filler in my cheeks, my lips done and the contouring – and people do think, oh gosh, you so different.”
So, what’s stranger: A women in her 20′s having multiple plastic surgeries on her face, or a women in her 20′s having plastic surgery on her face and wondering why people think she looks “so different”?Tags: singers, under 30
During Katy Perry’s Prismatic tour, fans were left scratching their heads after backup dancers dressed as big-bootied mummies took the stage to perform with the starlet. While many media outlets overanalyzed the display, and called Katy Perry a racist for dressing up her back up dancers as “hypersexualized caricatures of black women”, the reasoning behind the mummy costumes is actually much simpler…
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone Magazine, Katy Perry reveals her inspiration behind the much talked about costumes, and the mummies, with their over-exhaggerated butts and breasts, simply represent our societal obsession with plastic surgery. Katy insists that it’s not a race thing and it has more to do with the new trend of looking completely over-the-top fake after having plastic surgery. Katy even drops a couple of names, when it came to explaining her stance, even though the women that she mentions, swear up and down that they’ve never had plastic surgery!
According to Katy:
“As far as the mummy thing, I based it on plastic surgery. Look at someone like Kim Kardashian or Ice-T’s wife, Coco. Those girls aren’t African-American. But it’s actually a representation of our culture wanting to be plastic, and that’s why there’s bandages and it’s mummies. I thought that would really correlate well together. It came from an honest place. If there was any inkling of anything bad, then it wouldn’t be there, because I’m very sensitive to people.”
Katy Perry isn’t the first artist to target Hollywood’s plastic surgery obsession either. Nor is she the only one that is taking flak for pointing out the obvious. Lily Allen also took some heat after releasing her popular video for “Hard out Here”, which opens with a scene depicting Lily having liposuction.
